WHY EDUCATION FINLAND WORLD BEST?

WHY EDUCATION FINLAND WORLD BEST?

In the early 1990s, the financial collapse has made Finland fell into extreme difficulties, but with the renewal of the education system, after 40 years, Finland has not only economic recovery but also to become fully one of the world's most developed countries and also the countries with the best education in the world today. So what is the secret of education in Finland?

1. Finnish focus on improving student skills for reading, math and science applications what students learn and can be applied immediately to life

2. "The fair is the most important thing in education in Finnish. All political parties agree on this, "Mr. Olli Luukkainen, chairman teacher Finland share. All children in Finland whether urban or rural areas are entitled to an equal education.

Before the 70s of the twentieth century, education Finland nothing to be proud of. The education sector perform centralized management mode, there are many regulations binding the work of teachers. HS to 10 years old at that time had to pass an exam, based on the test results to division, an ordinary class, a class that profession; the division that future decisions they dogmatically, future life depends on an exam. Exam results are scored from 4 to 10; 10 points is the highest score; Point 4 is sliding. At that time the young age pupils who knew than packaging used to rank each other, through which said that his scores or less than others. In each class the students are divided into groups according to their abilities, they are considering another embankment.

Later, school officials Finland find ways to do so is not good, because everyone has the capacity and different expressions. Doing so is like catching elephants, penguins and monkeys climbing competition; resources used to climb trees gauge their capacity is very ridiculous. So the education sector the country has decided to cancel the caste regime, do not use scores to the hierarchical division anymore. The teacher quickly realized that this approach as well. Thanks to this change in the school learning environment, teachers and students to work together, unite. Since the '80s, all forms of testing and examinations, including general regime for the unified exam were canceled.

A further content of Finnish educational philosophy is all secondary students across the country to enjoy the same educational background, can not let the rich are better learners from poor families, children are learning whites better child migration of people of color from Africa to Asia. Thought that educational equality is the State of Finland set out in a law enacted in 1860. Since 1915, education is recognized as a civil right.

3. Education Finland focused learning and innovative teaching children NOT pressure testing children. "We teach children to learn how to learn, to teach children to learn how NOT to contest" Pasi Sahlberg GS, working in the education and culture of Finland said.

"We do not believe in exams, do not believe there is a unified exam is the best. 12 for the first year students only a single exam at the time they were aged 18-19, which is the exam before entering college. Thus teachers and students have more time to teach and learn what they prefer. Our teachers do not teach because absolute examinations, students also learn absolutely not for exams. Our school is a fun place to study 100%. Advantages of learning mode in Finland is planted in a spirit of cooperation rather than competitive spirit. We do not worry HS latter will feel fear when entering the highly competitive society ".

4. Education Finland towards children learning through play. "Entertainment is important for children," said Rintola "We appreciate the fun". Students in Finland are often very much curricular even cold winters. Compulsory school age of school children was 7 years old. "We do not hurry" Louhivuori say "children will learn better when they are ready, why we have to pressure them?"

At first glance, that approach may seem like "no formal" teaching traditional way but in fact, the modern method requires schools and teachers must constantly creative, explore the appropriate projects with the continuous development of the students, helping students love and constantly explore and develop the knowledge and skills to better and faster gigantic compared to traditional teaching.

5. Teachers according to the child's classroom in a long time. "This is a great system, and I really sticking participants and understand each other," said teacher Rintola.
6. The two teachers per class. "We can support each other very well" Kangasvieri sharing teachers' teaching coordination is the best thing. "
